Prompt: “Celebrating Women in Sport”

Women in sport are powerful and complex, yet often underrepresented.

From historic breakthroughs to grassroots teams to professional leagues, their stories deserve to be told.

  • Redefining beauty or success through sport

Accepted Categories & Guidelines

Short Film or Performing Arts

Format Requirements:

  • .mp4 file

  • Maximum 5 minutes

  • Horizontal format preferred

  • Clear audio and good lighting recommended

​

Content Expectations:

  • Must relate to celebrating women in sport

  • May be narrative, documentary, spoken word, performing arts or experimental

  • If interviewing others, obtain consent

Writing

Format Requirements:

  • PDF submission only

  • 12 pt Times New Roman

  • Maximum 5 pages

  • Single or double spaced accepted

  • Include your name and age on the first page​

Content Expectations:

  • Clearly engage with the theme “Celebrating Women in Sport”

  • Demonstrate originality and depth

  • Avoid plagiarism or AI-generated submissions

  • Previously published or simultaneous submissions are allowed

Visual Art

Accepted mediums include drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, photography, architecture, and digital art.

 

Format Requirements:

  • Submit as high-resolution .jpg or .png files

  • If submitting sculpture or architecture, include 2–4 angles

Content Expectations:

  • The piece must clearly relate to the theme

  • Original work only

  • You retain rights to your artwork

Original Music

Instrumental or lyrical compositions are accepted.

​

Format Requirements:

  • .wav or .mp3 file

  • Maximum 5 minutes

  • Include lyrics in a PDF if applicable

  • If submitting a performance video, use .mp4 format

​

Content Expectations:

  • Must be an original composition

  • Clearly connect to the theme

  • Strong storytelling or emotion encouraged

Submission Details

Judging Criteria

Submissions will be evaluated based on:

  • 40% Impact - Emotional depth and clarity of message

  • 35% Craft - Technical strength (writing quality, composition, editing, structure)

  • 15% Originality - Unique perspective or approach

  • 10% Effort & Presentation - Care and completeness of submission

 

Each entrant will receive two lines of written feedback.

Shortlisted entries will be showcased on our website.

2nd Place — $100

 

3rd Place — $50

  • We do not seek exclusive rights.

  • You retain ownership of your work.

  • Previously published and simultaneous submissions are allowed.

  • Winning pieces may still be published elsewhere (entrants are responsible for securing any necessary rights).

  • By submitting, you consent to your work being featured on our website or social media for non-commercial promotional purposes.
