How soon can my school host a talk?Once you've emailed us to express interest, we'll coordinate online to discuss further details. We prefer to plan workshops at least 3 weeks in advance.
-
What time are the talks?Depends on the school! We usually come in during the school day, but we can also plan for after school depending on the students' schedules.
-
Who can coordinate a talk?Anyone willing! In the past, student affinity groups, administrators, and coaches have all brought us in.
-
What does a talk look like? We'll have 2-3 presenters, with a slideshow behind them. Presenters will be moving around the room throughout the talk to facilitate discussion.
-
How many students can attend?Depends on what you'd prefer! We're flexible to any number of students, though smaller discussions won't be emphasized as much in presentations of above 30 students.
-
Will there be a Q&A?We conclude every talk with time to ask questions. We also provide our contact information to students who want to learn more or ask personal questions.
-
Can we have the presented resources after the presentation?Yes! Our past presentations are also free to download on our website.
-
Are the talks customized to the school?Yes! We will change our content based on the needs of the school and the demographics of the students.
-
How do you ensure your information is credible? All of our content comes from our research team, which is peer-reviewed from licensed medical professionals from UCSF.
